Bought a used 2005 Venture RS last year - 144" track - all stock...2200 miles
I just put 114 studs on it (down the center) and now am wondering if I need any type of tunnel protection?
Appears I have plenty of clearance for the exhaust - front by the jack shaft looks like it will clear?
Getting mixed opinions on whether I need them or not - I see Yamaha sells a kit but another dealer said they came stock with them and the guy I bought the studs from said I did not need them.
Obviously if I can run safely without them I would prefer to save the $200.
Under the tunnel it appears to be all protected.
