cheap carbide runners for trailers

This tip might be obvious, but I did not see it on TY so I figured I'd mention it. Cut up old pickup truck bedliners for carbide runners/protectors on your trailer. My local junkyard gives them to me for free since they cannot crush them with the truck for steel recycling. you can cut one up in 5 minutes with a circular saw. They tend to bow in the summer if you put them on in winter, so try to put them on in summer. Good luck to all!
 

If you have an old track...instead of throwing it away, cut it into 2 equal lengths and tack down...now that works like a champ. I know a guy that bought a few cheap plastic kids sleds and cut them up...seems to do great and they come in colors...LOL
