The lights on my 79 EX 440 keep flickering with the headlight and gauge lights very dim.
I change voltage regulator and that didn't correct it. Also all grounds look good.
Any other ideas?

Sometimes you'll get a break in one of the wires where it bends with the opening and closing on the hood. If you have a multi meter, you should be able to check for continuity between the headlight plug and the wires downstream near the engine to see if you have a break. Even though the wire is broken the ends will rub together giving you that 'flickering of the headlight.
