Trailer Rust

I have a steel ride on/off 2 place trailer that is being eaten by rust. I have read about a few paint products that claim you can paint over the rust and it will treat the steel to stop the corrosion and protect againt future rust. Has anyone ever used any of these? I would like to not have to clean all the rust off before painting because that would be a pain. Thanks.

Yup we used some stuff that you brush on and it turns a white/gray color. Its a steel sealer. We used it on a steel two place that was pretty rusted. Seemed to work real well. I just wish I could remember the name of it.

POR 15 is a great product, but yet it will discolor with exposure to the sun.

You can use a topcoat over it if you choose

The chassis paint they have works pretty good.
