Is there a write up for a 02 SRX ER viper track extension? i found the kit on Track USA and plan on doing this project in the spring time. New to the snowmobile world.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I'm sure someone will soon....
This is what I did for my little brother's sled as he was on a very tight budget, so buying expensive track USA extensions was out of the question.. HTH

For some reason it will not let me copy link. In search bar put “pair of vipers go 144”. My build will show up. Covers everything your looking to do and more.
A couple of bucks

Thanks for adding link. I don’t know why I couldn’t. Maybe was my phone!

Thanks, I really like those cobras. Both these sleds are still going strong! I put a 1.6 cobra on my wife’s SR viper and love it! I went with a back country and wishing I would have went with the 1.6 also!
Thanks for the replies. Looks like Track USA sells a extension kit. Is this all I need? Do I have to adjust the clutching and coolant hose it I extend up to 144? Really new to the snowmobile world.

Yes
You will also need a tunnel extension..

I used the track USA extension kit to go to a 136”. I used the ripsaw track with I believe 120 studs down the center. I like the quality of the track USA extensions. I went with the longer tunnel extension that is normally used with the 141” kit I believe. Looks better and better fit as well. IMO.
You may have to do some clutch tuning.
In my experience, I noticed I dead hook with the new setup. It bogs a bit at launch. Before it would just spin the track. So a clutch adjustment is in order for mine. On the other hand I noticed my fuel mileage went up. Less track spin I guess. Best of luck with your project.

You definitely need clutch and / or gear tuning if you feel any kind of bog or power loss after installing a longer and more aggressive track....
