I am looking for some info on different shapes of Comet flyweights. I have searched the internet up and down and cant find any info on these things.
Right now my sled is revving a bit to high (7500) and need to drop it down to about 7200. The current flyweights are A-54. I have the option of picking from K-1, U-1, W, or AC. (see pic).
Does anyone have any info on the shift characteristics of the different shapes?

My general thinking it the more mass on the far end of the weight, the faster the primary shifts .... but that is just a guess.

I have no experience with these but I'm guessing you can buy and try witch ever one you think mite work and if required you grind off some of the back side till you reach your optimal rpm range.
Though, I agree seeing some profiles and more data would be helpful

I would go with the ac its bushed were the others are not, that's a pretty heavy arm for a phazer

I have a book in my lap with all the comet weights, pics and specs.
The AC is the only one I see with the same profile that is heavier.
57.3 grams.
Your weight is 54.3
Another option is to add a little weld evenly along both sides. Do this a little at a time as to not get the weight too hot.
You need a gram scale.
