just a question for you guys.
I am "thinking" about selling my viper but i am not sure what it is worth.
2002 with 3500 miles. ad boivin expert-x rear suspension installed in sled & original skid with only 1500 miles in it. anti-ratchet drivers and semi new 1.00 lug track with 96 studs (900 miles on it) engine torque arm, heel clicker clutch kit, 2"isovibe handlebar riser, srx rear heat exchanger upgrade, original skis and a set of simmons flexi skis, dropped the top gear down 1 tooth, sport-tech hand guards, front shocks were rebuilt 400-500 miles ago/beginning of the season. boysen rad valves (installed at beginning of this season) I have all reciepts (over $3000invested) and has never been crashed also have extra brand new carbides for simmons and for original skis and 2 new belts
sled is in excelent condition. seat has 2 tiny rips that were sealed with black rtv
What do you think it's worth???

Pull all the after market parts you can and sell them seperately. The Expert will get you $1000-1300 alone. In the sled you will get very little for it.

Selling as is I would say $4300-4500. (kind of sickening isn't it)

Selling the stock Viper $3500-3700

sadly i think in reality you probably will get a little less than that...value sucks the past couple years

Ya i hear you tom
thing is, "if" i get rid of it i am willing to take a little bit of a hit on the price.
I was talking with friends and threw out a price of 4000 firm and some laughed others agreed. personally (since it is mine and i know how well i maintain it) i think it is worth more. I like your selling price $4300-$4500
just wondering if i was in line or out of line
Thanks for the input!!

I'd take off all the extra's and sell them out right. Sell the sled as stock probably get about 3500-3700,plus the extra's for the parts.

yea DEFINATELY take off the aftermarket's, they will get a lot more money selling seperate

I knew someone was goung to burst my bubble.
maybe i should tear off all the extras at the end of the season and put them on ebay. i cant stop thinking about a new apex with a supercharger or turbo.
4 grand from my sled would pay for that little extra.

I just went and picked up a 2002 Viper this last weekend with 1600 miles, It's absolutely mint and I mean mint! I can't figure out how someone can ride a sled 1600 miles and never even put a single scratch on it, but this guy did it. Anyway it came with 2 gallons of oil, 3 plugs, a Yamaha full body cover, and a new spare belt, and brand new woody's duallys. I gave him $3400.00 for it. I've been looking for a Viper all winter and settled on this one. I thought as a purchaser I did well on this deal. But as the seller you probably wouldn't thing so. Now isn't a great time to sell a sled, but a good time to buy.

resale value sucks...

i would definately pull the expert x, sell it seperate, and i would think you should get 3200-3800. then sell the suspension for 800-1000 and u just made 4800 on a 02....

leave it together u would be doing good to get 4000

just my 2 cents...

i would be willing to sell mine with all its mods for 4000 and someone would be getting a deal, that apex does look good, im leaning towards an attak.

Have a stock 04 viper s super clean (1000 miles) triing to get 5200 ??? - lots of onions want to trade retail for there's - wholesale for mine - ya know.

ok rx1yama18, not a problem
this whole thing has me stumped. If i do sell, it will be at the end of the season. most likely going to buy a new yamaha and put everything worth a buck on ebay.
I have your info and will let you know.
thanks

You won't have a problem selling you Expert. I just sold one a month ago and I still get E-mails from people looking to buy it.
