I wouldn't trust it myself. Top-down shots it looks really warped too. Better to be safe than have it blow up at 8+k with shrapnel flying everywhere. Good catch noticing it though.

1997 and up work, if it looks like the same clutch, it probably is.
Just have to swap everything inside over to the new one.

Would a 97+ VMAX 500 primary work? I have one. It needs a cleaning and I have a puller. I'm in Holland, MI.

Yes it should.
Not sure what sled OP has, but the twin clutches are slightly different from the triples. They do not have the holes for the set screws for the clutch weight pins, part #s are different too.
But it should work.

pay attention to the cover as well, as the new ones are "long cover" and older ones are "short cover"
each has their own spring for short or long.
Swap weights, rollers, spring (and cover if its not the same).
