rode 350 miles this past weekend with 5 Yamaha sleds with not one breakdown. Last night we rode my 600 redhead triple started flashing the temp light in a 1-3 code. One long with 3 shorts. I cant seem to find what this code means. I found codes for an srx on this site and it says open temp sensor? Is it the same for the 600 venture????

so this means the temp sensor went out?? I assume it is replaceable. It it the thing on top of the head with the wires to it? Is this a common thing? I have three other triple redheads and have never had any issues for years of riding??
The sensor cant really break. I would follow the wires from that head temp sensor, back to where it enters the harness, and make sure there are no bad spots on the wire.

I uploaded a few photos from st germain last weekend Its like a magic trick to get photos to load on this site. We were in st Germain Wisconsin and they had about 4 feet of snow and then we got another 8 inches the first day. Ran a venture 600, venture 700, vmax er 600, a 1993 Exciter 2, and a 2005 RX warrior. I only own yamahas sleds.

Bottom left pic of the silver Venture, if two people are on that sled on a regular basis, I would stiffen up the rear shock spring setting, as Im sure the ride isn't very nice when fully bottomed out all the time.

you know I was thinking that. That's my wife and I and it seemed a bit low Shes 140 and IM 230 didn't know if that was too much for it or not. I will look at that spring adjustment when I get the out of the trailer.

The rule of thumb is, When you are both on it, you should shoot for even distance on the white plastic washers top and bottom on the transfer rods.

i prefer it set so that it comes about 1/3 from the top of its travel on the transfer rods as when they load up with snow and ice they only get heaver.
