What is everyone doing to break in new pistons & rings?
Drive it like you stole it.. no steady throttle or long pulls until after 100 miles over variable throttle.

Here’s how I did my 2 strokes back in the day. Bolt everything together and then pull it over 50 times with no plugs in it. Then start and get it good and warm in the garage. Shut it down, cool, retorque the heads, start it again, get it warm, let it cool, and then ride it like you use it. Never had an issue, and they always ran well. Your results may vary.

100% agree, heat cycle it a few times, this will help seat the rings. Then ride it like any other day.
