I see lots of older threads with varying opinions on the best reeds for the 700 triples. Will be installing a set of reed spacers for my 600 SX redhead ditch banger this winter. I will also replace the steering post with the SRX style for clearance.
I figure with over 12,000 Km on the engine it would be wise to replace the reeds while I am at it. Any current advice on the best reeds for reliable trail riding application would be appreciated. Hoping to get another 12,000 Km of riding out of the redhead.
In particular i am interested in hearing about Boyesen Power vs Carbon Tech LT as options vs stock.
Thanks

from what i remember, unless you have pipes and wicked port job, you will not see enough increase to be worth the aftermarket reeds.

Thanks Maim,
From what I read in older messages on here I understood this to be true for the SRX triple power valve engines. Thought there was some improvement for the redhead though.

X2. Stock sled the stock reeds with spacers are still the best. Yamaha did a good job with those.
