So I have an 04 sx viper ER I just ride it on the trails and that's it. I was wondering what a good clutch set up would be to make it alittle snappier on take off. Nothing crazy but just alittle something to help out that triple boggy start feeling. I have no clue about clutch's and their weights so sorry in advance with not keeping up with the lingo. Any info you be greatly appreciated.

That triple boggy feeling is carb setup.....not the clutch.....search this forum for carb setups.....that will solve your issue.

How old is your belt ? Belt should ride flush or just above the secondary sheave.
I would look there also.

well if looking for a good corner to corner set up (i am not a top speed guy) we use a set up turk gave us for bro's 02 viper and on my dad's 05 sx venture with the viper motor.
we use 40-10 heel clicker with stock rollers with 2 grams in the heel and the rest empty with the red spring in the primary.
for the secondary, we use the stock helix from a 2004/05 rx warrior with the stock secondary spring wrapped to about 70 degrees.
launches good and responds quick. just tends to top out around 100 mph but i have not tried it on ice and that is more than enough for our local conditions/trails.

Thanks again murder. brand new belt, fresh plugs I'm probably just being picky about the difference in 700 triple take off and small twins.

Make sure the exhaust valves are functioning properly. If they are broke and stuck in the open position, the sled will have weak bottom end power.
