Sp1 grip heaters on 2002 viper

Has anyone had luck wiring up a set of sp1 3 wire heaters into the factory 2 wire system if so could you point me in the right direction.
Sp1 wires are
red-common
black-low
white- high

I haven't used a set of aftermarket heaters but read a thread on wiring them up a few years ago.The guy that posted it said to wire up the high circuit and leave the low side unhooked to utilize the most out of the grips heating.I assume the dash dial would still be able to adjust the heat some so it wouldn't be cooking your hands all the time.
