Had a stubborn clutch to remove today, after 15 minutes with impact gun just wouldn't pop off the PTO shaft.
Decided to fill the hole with grease from grease gun then put back in the clutch puller it came rite off, I guess this is similar to using the water trick.

Works Great!! I have had to do it..
i do the grease trick every time i pull a clutch. i had to do water once and throw it outside for it to freeze and pop the clutch.

Grease works better but waters way less messy. Hydrolic fluid works well also
