So my project Venom is over reeving to 9k and i want to fix this issue. I saw here that i should run a 3.6 rivet in the inner and outer clutch weight.
so i guess my question is do i buy qty 6 of a p/n 90261-06034-00 or 90269-06006-00 and punch them in the old weights, or should i just find a complete clutch kit to gain more performance.
Thanks

You could just kieep things simple by punching out the tip rivet out of your current weights ( provided they are in good condition) and replace it with the heaviest steel rivets Yamaha sell. Then add 1 or 2, 6 mm washers to each tip before you pean down the new rivets . Cheap, easy, and effective... A weaker primary spring then your current is another cheap, easy way of loading down the engine to more ideal rpm ranges
