looks like i need a fuel pump ( 83R-24410-01-00) for the 88 vk and all single outlet pumps from yamaha are now discontinued. the nipples on the single rectangle (07-187-01) are too small for the tank line and the pulse line. can i block the extra port on a vk540II/III pump ( 8AT-24410-00-00 or 07-188 ) with no issues?
Yes, as long as the plug on the unused lines will hold the low pressure the pump generates (5 psi or so). With dual pumps available so cheap, I have been just using them.
thanks ding. now the issue is going to be getting adapters to go from the pulse line and the line from the tank as they are larger than the fitting sizes on the pumps i have.
