NEWBIE- Replace tract or Stud it out 97 VMAX???

Hi All,
Newbie alert

I have a 97 600 Vmax. Runs great, starts all the time. Its my teenage sons ride. it seems to have no traction at all (but im used to my studded MXZ)...

QUESTIONS:

1) do i replace tract?
or
2) Stud this tract (if so what size and qty)
or
3) sell sled as is and save money for upgrade

Any help apprecaited- See pics.

replace track!! Even if you sell it. the track will the be problem to get good money for it.

Replace with a stock OEM- or is there a more aggressive style tread available??

Camoplast Hacksaw if your going to stud or pull protectors and put on a rip saw or ripsaw 2.

x2. you could also put in a pre studded track if you like. even a 1" lug track will be an improvement.

1" studded or 1.25 non-studded is about all that will fit without changing the drivers.

Trail,boondocks,groomed,ditch riding,lake and how about road crossings,etc etc ??
