I am in need of a cdi for a 2001 SRX700, just wondering if the 2000 and 2002 cdi's will work on a 2001? there is one forsale locally and seller says 2000-2002 cdi are compatible but all have different part numbers?

2000 SRX CDI has different electrical plugins.
2002 SRX CDI has DCS feature, I believe the electrical plugins are the same as 2001. Since 2001 SRX doesn't have DCS I'd expect to see a constant error code flashing on the gauge, can be a bit annoying, and can mask another error code that may come up at some point since the sled will likely keep repeating both of them continuously.

Why do you need a CDI, I've never seen one fail.

Thanks for the reply srx700c, 74Nitro I am just gathering parts for a project 2001 srx I am putting together, it had no cdi box when I bought it.
