Haven't been here in a while hope everyone is good.
Having an issue that requires an answer from the actual experts.. just as the title says, 00 SXR 500 I can get about 300 miles out of a primary spring then they snap right in half. Believe it's a blue pink blue but I would have to double check. Should I replace with a stiffer spring? Or should I be doing something else to prevent this.

hate that spring. the 05 sx venture came with it too and i broke 2 of those damn things between my sxr and it. i put a version of vmaxjhon's clutch set up for his vmax 500 from the tec pages into my sxr and that cured it. i modded it in that i used aftermarket 40g base weights instead of the yamaha weights he used. for the venture, we put in 40-10 heel clickers tuned to a set up turk gave us for an sx viper almost 20 years ago.
