Exhaust spring

Anyone know where this spring #23 connects to the chassis on the underside of pipes

If I remember correctly it hooks onto the chain case side cylinder pipe(small loop on pipe)and over/underneath center cylinder pipe and hooks underneath on chassis.
Its one of those that you hook up underneath first before laying in the pipes.

Thanks that’s helpful. So looks like it must connect to the chassis near the top side of the recoil? I had it connected near the bottom side of recoil and it wouldn’t seem to reach to the pipe.

I think it hooks onto the frame brace if I remember right,then wraps around and hooks to the loop on the pipe.
