Hello everyone , new to forum , yamaha phazer and exciter rider from the 8o's ha ha . My question is after picking up a 1987 and a 1988 exciter for restoration projects i realized the 1988 has 10 bogey wheels and the 1987 only has 8 --- ? wth ?

Know one has any ideas huh ? Well it looks like the 88 has a polaris track under it - could it also have a polaris slides and rear suspension ?

Yup , answered my own question . Polaris skid ass. and camoplast track . Extremely rusty though ; don't know if worth the time to remove and rebuild ?
if the rails and arms are not cracked, probably worth the rebuild if the parts are availible.
