looking for some detailed reviews. Also when should we expect the reviews to come out in the magazines?

how are the ride characteristics of the nytro and RTX? How is the power compared to the 05 models?

The Nytro felt like you could launch it off a snowflake while the RTX seemed like it soaked bumps rather than launched off them. This could have been due to the RA setting on the RTX but I didn't take time to reach down and adjust while following the Nytro and attempting to do whatever he did.srx600 said:how are the ride characteristics of the nytro and RTX? The seat foam on the prototype RTX was much softer than the Nytro and we were specifically told that it would be changed for production. I believe we all agreed that the RTX was in need of that firmer seat.
As for power, the efi 150's felt super responsive to the throttle. Unfortunately, we were riding on ice most of the time and without studs the tracks on all the machines pretty much just spun. The just seemed to spin faster, quicker than the '05 carb machines if that makes any sense.
The power of the 120's felt pretty much the same as '05 but there was one Vector GT that had a really sweet clutching setup. Unfortunately, none of the reps present knew what had been done to that particular sled.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions before Mr. Sled posts our detail report. I didn't want to get ahead of things but I know what it's like to wait.

I had the Nytro for most of the ditchbanging, and loved the suspension for just that! I was doing some good air, and I weigh in at 240lbs. As far as the Fox floats on the front of the RTX, I would not want them for the trail, unless they had too much pressure in the ones we rode. Felt a lot of sharp bumps, and vibration from the trail. But for banging on the Nytro, they worked very well for that application.

What is the riding position like on the Apex models?
Is it alot different than the Vector riding position?
Is there a big difference in the power or smoothness between the Apex and the Vector?
Can't decide between an Apex GT or a Vector GT.
I wonder if the Apex will be even better on fuel than the 05 RX-1?
The 05 Vector seems excellent on fuel.
I would like to try the Apex first to see what it is like. I have rode an 05 Vector and it sits you up alot better than my 02 Viper.
Time to get rid of the Viper for smething new because it has almost 11,000 miles on it now.

Great Questions

You sit about six inches forward and a couple inches higher than the RX series machines.

Quite different, the Vector has a more traditional feel where the Apex is more, dare I say, REV like.

Yes, the Vector is no slouch but the Apex flat out rips.

You won't be disappointed with either but you'll probably get better "smileage" with the Apex GT.

No, we were told that the increase in horsepower cancels out the fuel economy gains. They should be about the same.
