1999 v 2001 mountain max windshields ?

hey guys
got a question about the different spec windshields I have on a 1999 600 mountain max and a 2001 700 mountain max
the 600 seems to have larger mounting feet and different location versus the 700 and they are not cross compatible
can you guys help me out with an aftermarket solution and/or parts number

2001 had a dual headlight so the notch around headlight is not the same.

is it just 2001? or 2001 and later years?

I see the little feet that go into the hood are also smaller versus the 1999 model year

2001 700s and later, the 600s still had the older style.

I’d like a low profile windshield for the 700 and it seems its not available
I found a nice one for the 600 by sno-stuff

but the 700 shield has a cut out at the bottom for the dual light. You have a dual headlight?

Based on your first post, that will work. 99 700 , 600 later model will work.

nope the windshield I took off the 2001/700 does not have a headlight cutout
the kimpex windshield I bought off ebay has different size feet (larger) and the two plastic screws for up front are a different pattern also

Can you post some pics?

You would need a 2001 600 shield

No unless you have a different light all the single light hoods should be the same. Can you post a pic of the shields front center where screw mounts are?

but there is extra material at the bottom edge

The shield with the Yamaha logo is wrong?
