I'm at exactly 2 5/8", including riser, spacers and washers.
I wanted to be able to lock my knees while standing without having to lean over the handlebars. This set up allows me to do that. And I'm a towering 5'8" maybe 5'9" with boots.
The first big trouble you run into with going higher is that the brake line is too short then the cables are too short (oil and throttle) but you can buy kits to resolve this problem. I looked everywhere to find a longer brake line or extensions but the thread on the fittings are meteric and a fine thread all I could find were course threads. I looked at auto (US & foreign), hardware, appliance, Home Depot, Lowes and a few other stores. I know you can use cables and the brake line from another Yami sled that are longer but I'm not positive which one it is (pretty sure MM), you can give Rich a call he can hook you up for sure.
I was hell bent on NOT spending $100+ to do this, it cost me about $6 for longer screws and had a buddy find me a piece of stock aluminum that we "formed" into a riser. Good Luck.
