I have a 1998 srx 700 that I have been long tracking to 151"/2".
Gearing:20-40
stock engine and secundary clutch(yellow-white-yellow)/43deg helix/ 80deg.
My primary: stock yamaha clutch (green spring), whith A-1 comet clutch weight in it.
The sled is ok, but not fast up to 50 mph, after that it is very slow. The engine rpm seem to be ok at about 8500.In deep snow it`s slow too.
Is there anyone who knows what is wrong with it,ore what i could do to get climb in the mountains.

8-DN-20 Weights, 4.5 inner, 2.4 outer 49 Helix with Green spring, you might have to lighten the weight up a little there is a guy on here running a 151 srx with proting and this is what he's running for clutching.Do you have any pic's of the sled.

I helped on a 2000 srx. Ran a 159 in it. 9 tooth drivers, 19/42 gearing. dn-10's, 4.5 in each hole. 43 helix, geen spring. This was for 8-10,000ft. Jetted properly of course.
Guy rides with a 900 1m so it does alright with this set-up.
