2002 Yamaha sx viper electrical testing

Hey all, can someone tell me how to test spark plug caps and the coils? Thanks in advance.

usually use an ohm meter. i unthread the caps from the wires and check their ohm readings. i then test the coils according to the manual.

That's for an SRX but it has the same coils and the testing procedure is the same for any sparkplug cap,should be around 5k ohms.
