I ride a 2000 sxr600, I just put a new belt on it and removed the washer from the 3 bolts on the secondary to drop the deflection down a bit. Lately I've noticed a lack of top end and the sled is overreving to about 9100-9200 RPM at WOT. It doesnt seem to downshift out of corners as well as it used to either. I am running the stock 8DG weights with stock rivets. The secondary has a 9970c Bender helix on it which i think is a 51/45 according to my research on here. I am not sure what the seconday spring angle is set at. The spring is in the 6 hole on the helix so Im guessing it is 70 degrees (6+1) . My sled has always got poor fuel economy since I got it last year-somewhere around 9 MPG, I have heard that these sleds are supposed to be fairly good on fuel, but am yet to see it. I ride trails+lakes mostly and am an aggressive rider. Any ideas on a good setup for this sled? I am mainly concerend with getting my rpms down. :yam:

heavier rivet on the weights and a green Secondary spring. You have enough overrev you could probibly run Empty 8ca' wieghts.

I am going to try putting a 4.5 rivet in the tip of the 8DG today, I'll see how that works out for me. I'd like to see if I can get them to work for me so I can save some$$. Will the 4.5s be too heavy?
