My 600 is eating belts. The first one blew off and took the speedo cable and caused a lot of damage with it. I tore the clutches appart and they seem to be ok, but the beast is still hungry. The primary has a belt burn mark about 3/4 way up. What I was wondering is. Does anyone have the proceedure for clutch alignment, offset and belt deflection?
That info is on our sled at belt cover sticker.

Call me stupid but what I was looking for was proceedures not spec's.
How does one adjust alignment offset and deflection?

also take those clutches apart and clean everything GOOD. Make sure all the bushings and buttons aren't worn out, get a new primary and secondary spring, get a new belt, rough up the sheaves with some sandpaper or steel wool. Wash them in HOT soapy water, and dry with compressed air. Get the alignment and center to center in spec and let her rip.
