Edit; Found what I need
Looking for carb settings for my 02 Viper that'll give me good mid range for fuel consumption and a bit of power in the top end. Currently don't know my carb settings because the original owner never informed me of the jet settings. He gutted the exhaust/intake so it sucks 90 bucks of fuel in like 120km last time I checked. Original owners name is Randy Priest if anyone knows him. Trying to see if I can keep the power a bit (I know itd be hard to do) but improve the fuel consumption a bit. Trail riding I stay mid range (50-70kmh). And also, does anyone know a good skid I could swap into the sled, specifically a 136 skid to have it able do a bit of off trail riding
Thanks

well, i would try and find a stock exhaust and air box as brothers 02 and my dad's 05 sx venture with the the same motor average 170-190 km for tank of gas in decent conditions. then you could use the stock jetting specs on the ty tec https://totallyamaha.com/Totallyamaha/mainTechIndex.html as a starting point as it might need to be jetted ritcher because of porting he had done to that engine. i do reccomend raising the needle's on each carb one step ritcher as there was a lean spot stock in the mid range that this fixes. never heard of too many guys getting good fuel milage with pipes or gutted air box as they needed to be ritch to live any legnth of time. will probably need to be re clutched but we are getting those milage # with both sleds with 136" track and agressive trail clutching. not top speed guys either.
we used rail extensions with the mountain viper tunnel extension when we did my brothers. stayed with 1.25" track so we would not have to play with the driver size and gearing. just trimmed the track to clear the tunnel protectors witch we left in. as we just got it back from the dumbass he sold it to that wrecked it doing stuff we told him not to do, odds are it will get a mountain max tunnel extension when we get around to fixing it.
