Sx viper 8 blink

New member. Have an 8 blink code on my 02 sx viper. My understanding is that that’s a coolant temp sensor/circuit problem. I replaced the temp sensor, wiggled the harness, and everything is perfect, but still have the code. I’m worried the temp light won’t work if it’s actually hot since obviously the temp sensor system isn’t working properly. Anyone have anywhere else to look? Thanks.

Test the wires at the ecu. If there is no reading there then start searching the harness.
There is either an open or short circuit.

these sleds where bad for having wiring harness rub through under the motor. a good place to start checking.
