I'm looking for feed back on a starting point on clutching and gearing for Snow Drags at 660 feet. I know you guys have spent years fine tuning your sleds but I am just starting out and will be testing as much as I can before the race season to see what works best for my sled and my weight (215lbs) but...
I currently have a 79 Exciter with stock primary and secondary. Primary has Red/White Spring the nearest I can tell with 61 gram weights as seen in pic. It may be Pink/White spring, not sure. Any ideas if the weights in the picture will be better for the 660 over the stock. I currently have a 19/33 or 17/29 gears. Was thinking I may try 17/33 or do you think that will limit my top speed and won't have the get up and go you need to be as fast for as long as possible?
I don't think I am asking for any insider secrets but if you see any glaring issues or improvements that I can make I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
