Can anyone help me cross-reference a Marshall Distributing Company snowmobile drive belt P/N 1078?
I'm helping my dad clean out his garage and he has this belt and it appears new.
He used to have a 1977 Yamaha Exciter 440 and a 83 Bravo 250 so it might fit one of those but I can't find any information online.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Did he once own a Kawasaki?
I don't think the 1078 fits any Yamaha.
In addition, it may look like new, but if it's old I would just toss it as they lose strength with age.

74Nitro, no he never owned a Kawasaki...just those two Yamahas. Regarding the belt age, duly noted. I was not aware that they lose strength over time. Any idea where I can find a cross-reference chart? I checked online but struck out. Was hoping someone on this forum might have one.

Dumb question: is the 1078 just the industry number so, for example, Gates 1078 = Dayco 1078 = Marshall 1078, etc?

I think the 1078 was exclusive to Dayco, but am not 100% positive.Dumb question: is the 1078 just the industry number so, for example, Gates 1078 = Dayco 1078 = Marshall 1078, etc?
I've never heard of Marshall
