9 digit vin help

I bought 2 used sleds with 9 digit vins. I am new to snowmobiles and are having trouble to figure out the exact model and year of them. Any help would be appreciated!

• 88R-
• 8BH-

"88R-" is a Exciter II but I am not sure about the year.
"8BH-" might be a Mountain Lite but it was repainted so not 100% sure.
