8dn are 2 grams lighter base weight than the ones that came stock in your sled. they can be made to work with tuning time.
i think that you should make sure what primary you have as there are short cover and long cover ones. they use different weights and springs.
when i did my sx500r, i used 40 gram aftermarket (thunder shift) base weights as they use washers and screws to add weight, where the stock ones only used rivits witch are harder to rune with.

Thank you. This is my first sled. I’m fairly mechanical, yet I have a lot to learn about clutches. I didn’t realize there were short and long cover ones. Here’s what I have

that looks like a short cover clutch. you can put a tall cover on it to use tall cover combos.
the 8ab was a very popular when doing clutch mods on the twins back in the day and there are some good user set up's in the tec pages.
i went with aftermarket for easier tuning as the set up i used used 8ab weights.

I used 8DN-20's in many 600's with both heavy rivets. You may have to fine tune a little. They were used in 2000-2002 SRX 700
Your engine has max power at 76-7800 RPM.
Make sure the rest of your clutch(s) is in good condition.
The short/long cover choice only affects springs. No impact on any weight choice.

Yes, replacement weights. Don’t seem to be any 8CA available

get in touch with the guys at thunder products as they should be able to find a 40 gram base weight that would work for you.
