Hello,
I’m trying to figure out a way to mount my alpine skis on my snowmobile. I’d really like to ride out to some cool spots in the Keewenaw Peninsula and then ski down and around a few hills.
So I have a 1997 Yamaha Vmax 700 SX, and I currently have no idea how I’m going to mount my skis on it. I’ve seen pictures of mountain sleds with ski mounts on them, but I don’t know how you’d do it on a tub style sled.
You guys have tons of knowledge about these sleds, do you have any ideas, advice, suggestions on how I should do this? Ever heard of anyone doing this? Doesn’t matter to me how it looks as long as it works!
(My skis are 181cm (about 70”) long. Take a look at the picture I attached)
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks!

a chunk of steel rivited to the tunnel with gear clamps to hold a peice of abs pipe that you bungee the skis and poles to is what i am picturing mounted at a 45 degree angle to the side of the tunnel pointing to the rear.
