Today while riding my sons phazer engine locked up. She has 5000 miles on it so I am going to tear down the motor tomorrow and see how bad it is. Is there any common issues with these motors that I should be looking at to see why she locked up? Any recommendation on rebuild kits to purchase?

Crank and cylinders are junk, my son is now looking for a used engine if anyone knows someone selling one
that sucks. there was a venture that used same motor from that era that might be easier to find.
