VIPER OWNERS ONLY!
I have a 2003 sxViper Mountain (stock) except for Holtzman ATACC
I get about 125km / 75miles on a full tank of premium gas riding around on 4 inches of snow covered trails & lakes.
How far does a tank of gas get you????
Am I getting (I think) real poor gas mileage
75 miles / 11.77 US gal = 6.41mpg If it is very poor what could be causing it??
Sled has 500miles on it. Just cleaned power valves & full dealer service 200 miles ago.

1stly Premium is a waste of money & it is probably even slightly hampering performance....run regular fuel!!! Is sled clutched properly & running at 8500ish rpm at WOT? The low gearing & long track will hamper mileage. Riding in a$$ deep powder will cut mileage in 1/2. You will get a realistic 12 mpg on trails riding hard & 1/2 that playing hard in powder.

Automed, you are definately getting poor mileage. I can easily get over 200 km's per tank on regular (87 octane) and that is with fairly hard riding. I never run it right empty, but i would imagine somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 km's per tank is totally possible (taking it easy and on groomed trails). I'm reving high 88 - 8900 WOT and can still get decent mileage. My sled has 3200 km's and still gets pretty good mileage. Don't know what could be wrong, but that is harder on gas than any viper that i know.
