buddy has a 1.25 camo predator (981 for sale.
1) does this track work well on the srx
1.5) do i need to "clip anything" or change drive diameter for clearance.
2) the track has major wear on the left pair of inside nubs. ( soemthing must have rubbed on them) is it worth getting "exvolute" drivers to drive on the track clip/window or should i just forget about this track. price is $180 with new studs
3) what is THE BEST aftermarket track for the srx
4) what is my stock track worth. 192 studs. 3800 miles....
thanks

that is a very good track to run on the srx, especially if you don't plan on running studs. Some say you can run 1.25's with studs, some say no way in hell, and that you have to put in 8 tooth drivers. I couldn't tell you myself, i have never tried studding one. But the traction with that track even without studs is YEARS ahead of your stock track. Depending on what sled the track came off of, the wear is probably due to some time of rubbing (maybe on some heat exchanger protectors). If you can get a good deal on the track, i would definately say go for it.

also you dont need extrovert drivers for running a track like that, unless you really wanted to for some reason...without studs you shouldn't have near enough traction to ratchet though if your tension is set correctly.

the track Has studs on it. 1.4"s I think. and he has some more in the box to go with. the nubs i am talking about are on the inside of the track, where the drivers ....drive the track..... so that's why the extrovert driver may be needed. ( through windows)
He had it on his viper and could not figure out what was rubbing and took it off.......and sold the viper.
so with the damaged inside nubs, is it worth the 1/2 price of new?
so is this track better than the ripsaw. a nother buddy has a brand new ripsaw he bought at the NOVI show (bought 2 at discount) and will sell that to me for $340.
thanks

you can run a ripsaw in a srxjust by cutting about a 1/8" from the lugs where the track cleat line is. dont know about the studs though. the track was rubbing on the viper because you didnt cut down the lugs in the cleat trail. no need to change drivers if this is done.
I don't think that I would run 1.4" picks in that sled. Your askin for a fun weekend replacing the front heat exchanger

yea you will need 8 tooth drivers to run studs that long, and you better not run it too loose
