98 SRX 700 pistons

My 98 is due for pistons, I am pretty sure they are out of spec.
I understand the newer models have different port timing on the cylinders, what is different on the pistons ?
Could I get a little more HP running a different piston ?

You should be able to use pistons from any of the 1998 to 2002 700 SRXs and any 2002 and up 700 SX Viper but unfortunately no performance gain in OEM pistons.
