pour some gas in a cylinder and see if it barks off. had some sleds that needed to have this done a few times for them to prime up after sitting for extended periods.

Need to figure out my 02 SRX 700 hard starting!
I've made it my goal to get my 02 SRX 700 to be a better starter before winter this season. The problem is if it sits for a few days or more it takes 40-50 pulls to start. It also does similar if its extra cold out. I've been through and cleaned the carbs, added new oem yamaha reeds, went to...

Put a primer on it. My buddy had a 1997 700 SX, he had trouble starting after a couple weeks. If it sat for 2 weeks he'd pour a little gas in the cylinders, before he even pulled it. My old Vmax 600 twin would fire right up.
Add a little oil with that gas in an old spray bottle, check out conditions of fuel lines...Put a primer on it. My buddy had a 1997 700 SX, he had trouble starting after a couple weeks.
