My summer build on my mountain max has turned into a full overhaul/upgrade, but one component that I haven't found a single lead on is a good seat.
I've been holding out hope for a boss seat but since they went defunct I haven't found any for sale.
What other approaches have you guys taken for a good seat fitup?

there where a few other ways that guys raised the seat. there was a wedge under the rear and i know my youngest brother made a fuel tank under his to move it up and back on a sx500r. others have made their own mounts to mount seats from other brand sleds. others have added foam to stock seat and recovered it to make it taller.

Im kind of an old die hard..
I feel like Yamaha built them that way, and thats how they are meant to be.
Not a big fan of aftermarket seats or 8" bar risers. Most newer style sleds have that riding a 4 wheeler feel to them, with taller seats and bars.
If I want to be higher up, I use my legs, or go to one knee on the seat at slower speeds.
But, I know few think the way I do...lol
