A friend just bought an 02 sxr 600, we got it running well and after a few blasts up and down the belt started to squeal pretty bad around clutch engagement rpm. I haven’t cleaned the clutches yet… Can the secondary be taken apart without a spring tool? It has the classic no speedometer and I can’t tell if that bearing is shot or if that would affect it. Motor mounts seem ok. He did buy an aftermarket belt after I told him to get OEM.
Start over,--oem belt clean both clutches, check alignment, maybe a weak spring, replace bearing...

Yes you can disassemble the secondary by hand no special tools. Do pay attention to how to reassemble exactly as you take it apart. Use a marker on the helix and sheath so that it lines up after assembly.
