I have just bought a new to me 97 700sx the sled has been sitting for a little bit I think just a winter season I have replaced the gas changed the plugs put on a new belt but I’m having a problem where I changed the plugs it runs great for about 20 minutes and then it just starts to sound like it wants to die if you let off the gas it will idle down and then just quit when I start going again it is really boggy and won’t go kinda confused on where to start my diagnosis as it always runs great for the first little bit and then just fouls the plugs.

You either keep fouling plugs or you motor has issues. Do a compression test. If you don't let it warm up properly it will found them as fast as you can put them in. Also have you cleaned the carbs?

Since it is fouling the plugs it sounds like either the chokes or cable are sticking, the needle and seats in the carbs are leaking or the diaphragm in the fuel pump is cracked. As a starting point I would thoroughly clean the carbs, lubricate the choke cable, and check to see if there is any gas in the pulser line to the fuel pump. If all of the cylinders are fouling I would suspect the choke cable as the other factors tend to affect individual cylinders. If it is one cylinder that is fouling then likely the choke plunger is sticking or needle and seat is leaking. If it only fouls the cylinder that has the fuel pump pulser line connection then I would suspect the pump diaphragm. This works for me.

Yes I have done the carbs
