vmax 600 xtc 1998 frame

ya know the frame plate on the PTO side of a xtc 600 twin.
instead of removing the clutch to remove the motor can i cut the steal plate out?
or do i have to find a way to remove the clutch?
because im doing an engine swap.. wondering if that has anything to do with strength?

I would advise against that, it adds a lot of strength.
Order a puller, they don't cost much.
