Hey guys bit of a long shot but my recoil recently blew apart, does anyone have a complete recoil off a 1980 willing to sell? Or does anyone know if any other recoil would fit with some modifications? Thanks

Not all Yam models shown in partzilla BUT yours is there .. and the guts are the same
on the GP440 77 and probably 76....
they also look same as my 75TL expect 76 and 77PR
GP are probably easiest to find and expect i have a number of recoils BUT they dont
just bolt on ... just guts seem the same..
I'm near Newmarket but do you have any one that comes near Toronto from
your area ?
I think my email got changed on this site and could send or post pic of what
is really broken...
If the stud broke out of the housing , that is a more model specific issue. having
to do with the liquid cooled engine not needing the screen air intake recoil.

rules of recoil .. the rope has to come to end of travel a couple turns before
the spring dead ends and then brakes off.
Have a look at partzilla and ask around if any old Yams
