I'm looking for 39 and 38 tooth bottom gears for a 700sx but am not finding anything specifically listed for my sled. I want them just to play around with and eventually use if/when I go to a ~800. I can find gears all day long for SRX's, but I haven't found any info as to whether or not they fit an SX. My guess is no, but if not, where can I find these gears?
Off memory, the srx's ran a 15 plate chain and gears, the sx ran 13 plate. You can run them as a set, but not intermix. Same with the hyvo gears that the viper had, chain and sprocket specific. I dont think oem had a 38t, but I can check tomorrow. If you have reverse, its a different ball game. Keep in mind that whatever you run for a top gear dictates chain length either 68 or 70 link with all
Bottom gears from Polaris in the mid 90's will work. XLT's had 39 bottoms.
They are also still listed with Yamaha, but aren't cheap.
