Went to the Yami dealer with Kim to get a price on an '06. She told him she wanted a boat. He showed her the SX230 and she was HOOKED! She said we could refinance the cabin (see my photo post) and buy both. After they picked me up off the floor we left. Does anyone have any experience with Yamaha boats? This one has 2 160HP Yami 4 strokes and compares favorably with some of the other boats we have been looking at. We are going to the Detroit boat show tomorrow so I am thinking we can at least see one. Do they come in blue?

LOL...I assume that this "Kim" is your wife or girlfriend?
Sounds to me that if thats the case, she is a real keeper! Any woman who encourages spending money on toys cant be all bad.
Anyways, about the boat. Yamaha's boat motors rate really well. I believe they current rate # 1 in customer satisfaction according to JD Power. Not that this applies to you, but Yamaha currently has the world record for fuel economy with their direct-injected 2-stroke.
Dont you just love it when you go to a dealer to get one thing and come back with that thing and something else that is really expensive???
It has happened to me twice now. Last summer I was shopping around for a new pair of snowmobile pants. We stopped at a Polaris dealer just to see what they had and my brother notices this Polaris Predator. One thing leads to another and we end up leaving with the Predator, (he bought it, not me) but no sledding pants.
About a month ago, we stopped at a Polaris dealer in Woodruff, WI (its a little south of Minocqua) because my XC got a tear in one of the exhaust valve bellows, so I needed a new one. We stopped and I bought a bellows and on our way out my brother notices this used '03 Polaris Pro-X 700 they have sitting out front for sale. Well, one thing lead to another, and about a week later he ended up buying that sled.
Now, you could learn 2 things from this story. For one, my brother likes to spend money and two, when you go to a dealer, get what you need and LEAVE because looking turns to buying all too quickly!
