viper temp light

this may be a dumb question but my viper temp light flashes 8 times and repeats non stop, i know this is a short, wire break, etc. (the plug is loose to the temp sensor actually) now my question is, if it overheats will it over ride the 8 flashes and tell me its overheating? the plug is loose but who knows if it makes contact enough to tell me something like that.

This should be listed in the diagnostic section on the home page. Look up technical section and it lists all of the viper codes, your looks like it is on there.

there isn't a code for 8 blinks, if its 7 blinks, it is the powervalve system. If its continuous, its overheating

8 blinks is the thermo sensor
