Looking to install a newer set of plastic skis onto a 95Vmax.

what parts do I need to make this possible? Will the saddle from 98+ sleds skis work on the 95?
Thanks, and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

I would think you could retro fit something, but the pogo stick bottom had the alum block that sat into a small rubber stopper in the pre 97 ski....if you can groove out the std rubber block in the 97+ ski and still get the bolt hole to line up....should work. I have a few extra rubber blocks if you need some to carve on.

I believe the alum block on the pre 97 sleds is wider than the newer ones. I bought ski's that had saddles for a 96 sled and had to put washers on the through bolt between the saddle and alum block to keep it from moving back and forth laterally. I would assume you would have to cut down the block to make newer saddles fit on the older sleds. :?: :?:

Tom, are you joking on me?hehe

If it's Yamaha skis you're trying to retro fit, you might give USI a call, since they built them for Yamaha. I think they take the same mount kit as the USI ski.

Richie rich told me that in order to put newer skis on my 96' I had to machine the spindle down. I think the new ones are 3" and mine are 3.5". The only ones that still make a mount for the older ones are USI and kimpex.
