Downshifting on RX-1

Is there anyway to get rid of the downshifting on the 4 strokes. I rode my buddies RX-1 and did not like the downshift. Could maybe get used to it, thinking about buying a new sled next year. Is it just an engine characteristic?

buy it and ride it. i found after a while i found i hated that my viper didnt do it. makes going into a corner alot better

It would take some getting used to... I didn't like it either when I rode one. But you can tune it out... go to the RX1.info board and talk to them there.
